Meet Our Herbalist 

Jordan is the clinical herbalist and dreamer behind Silver Wing Apothecary. Raised by the waters of the Gulf Coast,  the world that shaped her weighs equal parts sea shell and driftwood. Much of her creative practice is influenced by the shimmering blue echo of the Gulf of Mexico. With pockets full of pennywort and the fragrant longing of magnolia blossoms, Jordan's path to herbalism was one guided by the refuge of imagination that is shared between the natural world and childhood.

With a background in psychology, Jordan's practice walks the bridge between inner and outer landscapes. Recognizing that our relationship to ourselves and our own existence determines our relationship to the Earth - to the plants, the water, the soil, or one another.  As the world cycles through seasons of change, we spiral with it. 

 

She is accredited through the Colorado School of Clinical Herbalism, where she studied alongside the lineage of Paul Bergner, in the Vitalist Tradition. Diving into the rich landscape of Western Herbal Materia Medica and applying the wisdom of plants to the wisdom of the human body through the low cost clinic at CSCH as a student clincian. This work has guided her to walk a path in service to the mysterious current which moves all things and the deep belief that all we could ever need is out there waiting for us. Growing outside our doors.  As we build closer connection to all life as kin, we no longer recognize it as separate and devote ourselves to be in service to all that is, has ever been, and all that is to come.  Creating access to herbal medicine and vitally rich food is at the heart of Jordan's practice, as well as, blurring the rigid, western lines between "food" and "medicine."

Additionally, Jordan is a silversmith, jeweler, and curious artist spirit. The name Silver Wing visited her in a dream where she wove her love of silver and recycled metals with her passion for healing herself and her loved ones through the wisdom of reconnecting to the natural world. And thus, our apothecary was born.
