Mussel Shell Siren Talisman with Blue Chalcedony

This piece was inspired by a purple and blue hued mussel shell I found on the Oregon coast a couple summers back. I was inspired by the way seaweed gently wrapped itself around the body of the shell and how the two enhanced each other's magic and beauty. 

Blue chalcedony is known as the "Speaker's Stone." Ruled by Mercury and the Moon, this stone is said to have been worn by Egyptian, Roman, Greek, and First Nations orators (around the neck / close to the throat) to connect mental and emotional channels, receive clear thought transmissions, nurture eloquent speech, and communicate our inner most worlds with easeful articulation and clarity of vision. 

This piece is truly one of a kind, never to be recreated, and meant to be a true heirloom worn and cherished through time. 

Hand carved, lost wax cast, and hung on a brown suede cord with a soft hammered finish. Echoing the organic nature from which this piece was born.
