Swan Folk Charm on Silk

Inspired by folk art and ambiguous animal figurines, this hand carved swan feels close to the heart of my vision for this brand - a devotee to myth, to the arc of the soulful, and to mysterious forces that propel us further into the unknown. 

Across Celtic folklore, the swan is often portrayed as a femme shapeshifter, symbolizing transition and the liminal as she moves between worlds. 

In Greco-Roman mythology, the swan is sacred to the god Apollo and the goddess Aphrodite - often being associated with the arts, music, and beauty. 

This charm was hand carved and lost wax cast in sterling silver. Hung on mulberry silk.
